A new era for a Byron icon
When owners Ben Gordon and Phil Taylor saw that there was an opportunity to do something in this iconic building they did not hesitate.
“We saw the potential to bring this place back to life and create something special, but we knew it would take a lot of work, however we knew from the start what principals and fundamental qualities we wanted; a laid-back place that was as eco-friendly as possible, a place that retained the small-town community feel, we wanted to produce healthy, high quality food from locally sourced farmers and producers but at the same time we wanted to keep a reasonable price point. Most of all we wanted a create somewhere with a friendly vibe where locals and visitors could feel warm and welcome and enjoy a taste of what this beautiful town has to offer”
In mid 2017 the project was started and on December 9th 2017 the doors were officially opened! It’s been nothing but good times ever since.
